Hotel Sole Verona & city tour

December 26, 2017

Hotel Sole is strategically located near the train station from where you can be everywhere in Italy or other parts of Europe. The train station and hotel Sole are just a 5 minute walk apart. It’s a new, high tech and modern hotel which will give you all you need during your stay in Verona. The Italian breakfast is included in the price (variety of croissants, cappuccinos and other types of coffee, juices, cheeses, fruit spreads, many types of breads,…), as are luxury bathroom amenities, wifi and a parking place for a fee. You can book directly on their website, through booking.com without a credit card during the booking process (great for booking in public places) and pay later at the property or through Expedia.com,…

Also the bus stop is right there too, so if you catch the bus 11, 12, or 13 in just a few minutes you will be in the heart of the city at the Piazza Bra. Even from the bus you can see the piazza and the Roman amphitheatre. The option to ask someone where to get out of the bus is always a good decision because Italians are eager to talk and help you out.  So the first stop is the Verona Arena and the town hall building at the piazza. If you are coming during the winter holidays, part of the Christmas market is right there too. Strolling through the cobblestone streets you will easily reach Juliet’s balcony and statue, wall of the locks and you also have a chance to shop in small gift shops. Keep strolling and reach another piazza - Piazza Erbe. Along the way pretty Italian restaurants are calling with the smell of famous Italian dishes while elegant stores invite you to do some shopping. At many tourist points you can pick up a free city map to find museums, cathedrals or other interesting spots in Verona.

Next time read more about how easy it is to use the Italian transportation system (buses and trains) to reach your destination. Traveling with a car is great too in Italy, but be prepared to walk to the main spots and have the patience to find a parking space. Till then keep traveling :)
